Dear Titus members and friends:

I am thrilled to be part of Titus Park!

As I visited the park last weekend, I was welcomed by an energetic, talented and committed Titus Board of Directors and then given a paint brush!  Wonderful things are happening at our park! The painting “face lift” is just one of the “new” things that will welcome you as you return or join the Titus Park community . . . it is all about Family, Friends and Fun!  Of course, we’ll throw in some great swim and tennis events too!!!

For me, I feel like I am coming full circle.  Many years ago (I ain’t disclosing), my childhood family lived in Toro Park.  Several years later, I worked as a Pool Manager, Lifeguard and Swimming Instructor at the “other 68 corridor” club.  There, I was able to network with Titus Park’s legendary “Carla” (with whom I had swum at Salinas High School).  We had some mini swim meets – couldn’t tell you who won, but we had lots of fun!  Throughout college, I continued to work as a Pool Manager.  I received a degree and Teaching Credential from Sacramento State and swam competitively at the college level.  A slight fast forward and I became a member of Titus Park!  My children and I spent many summers (I always felt it was our cost efficient summer vacation!) on the deck of the Titus pool.  My children learned to swim with Carla’s guidance (my daughter would later swim for Notre Dame).  We soaked up the sun, played, visited with friends and passed the lazy days of summer.  LIFE WAS GOOD!

Now, at my newest capacity as Titus Park’s Park Manager, I look forward to meeting you!  Come on out and soak up the sun, play, visit with friends and pass the lazy days of summer.

LIFE IS GOOD!   Titus is on its way to a great season!

 Lisa
